Bora Uzer

Musical Artist

Based in Istanbul, Bora Uzer is a singer, songwriter, and a producer whose musical career started when he was accepted to The Rotterdam Conservatoire of Music with a prestigious scholarship at the age of 17. Following his jazz education in Holland, he returned to Turkey to lead the four-piece funk and soul band Kangroove to fame in a music scene unaccustomed to this genre. Kangroove became a worldwide phenomenon, touring major festivals and providing support for international acts, such as The Black Eyed Peas, James Brown, and The Cardigans.

His career now includes a publishing deal with EMI Germany and EMI North America and a solo project entitled B1 with Doublemoon Productions. Four singles from this album made the top 100 radio charts in Turkey and saw Nike honor him as an “Icon of the City”. His compositions and productions have been featured on releases with such legendary Turkish musicians as MFO, Kenan Dogulu, Gokhan Turkmen, Emre Altug, and Athena to name just a few.
